Jose's Kazakhstan Peace Corps Experience

A year out of college, I needed a change. So I applied for the Peace Corps, then had an interview, took a physical - eventually passed. In the end I was given an invitation to Kazakhstan to teach English. A country forming its own cultural identity and the 16th growing economy in the world. First Post...

I recieved my invitation to Kazakhstan about 5 days ago now. I'll be teaching English most likely in a village or small city. My timeline looks something like this.

Now until Aug. 20th - Travel, work, and go to as many baseball games as possible.
Aug 20-23rd - Philadelphia for pre-service training.
Aug 24th- (27 months) Kazakhstan

I've learned so about you after reading your blogg. I'm so proud of you and the experiences you are going through. Now I understand your decision in joining the Peace Corp. It's good to know you are not starving either. I hope Jerrod and Raymond travel the world before they settle down and learn about other countries, the people and culture. I love to travel and now that Uncle Errol and I have more time to ourselves, we are doing more of it. We just returned from Italy last Saturday, touring the Amalfi Coast.
